Fujian shipping administration signed a contract with Yilu supply chain to build a 1000 ton electric distribution ship. The ship has a cargo capacity of 1050 tons and uses pure battery power. On June 30, Mawei shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Fujian shipping administration, signed a contract with Fujian Yilu Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. for the construction of a 1000 ton Minjiang multi-purpose electric distribution ship. With a total length of 74.86 meters, a shape width of 10.80 meters, a shape depth of 3.05 meters, a design draft of 2.20 meters, a cargo carrying capacity of 1050 tons, a container capacity of 54 boxes, and a battery capacity of about 5877 kwh, the 1000 ton Minjiang multi-purpose electric collecting and distributing ship is a pure battery powered inland collecting and distributing dual-purpose cargo ship in the inland river class B navigation area.
This signing is an important cooperation achievement of Fujian shipping administration and Fujian Yilu Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. in actively responding to the decision and deployment of Fujian provincial Party committee and government on comprehensively promoting the construction of "electric Fujian" and deeply practicing the concept of green and low-carbon development. After the resumption of navigation of Minjiang River, with the support of all parties, Yilu supply chain company successively opened water transportation logistics channels such as "transporting grain from the north to the South" and "transporting bamboo from the south to the north" in Nanping port, effectively reducing the logistics cost of the enterprise.
Excluding the latest orders, Clarkson's data show that Mawei shipbuilding currently holds 65 orders of 2.84 million deadweight tons, including 31 bulk carriers, 15 offshore ships, 10 oil tankers, 7 automobile carriers, 1 container ship and 1 other ship. The delivery date is scheduled to 2029.
