The pure electric passenger ship 'Romantic Zhuhai' has been successfully delivered

    Recently, the pure electric-powered passenger ship 'Romantic Zhuhai,' inspected by China Classification Society (CCS), was successfully delivered and is scheduled to begin operations on the Zhuhai-Macao tourism route before the 2026 Spring Festival. This marks a new stage in the transition to new energy for Zhuhai's tourist vessels.  

    The ship has a total length of 49.9 meters and has obtained the CCS 'Green Ship-3' additional mark. It is also integrated into the CCS battery-powered ship inspection and verification platform, achieving a perfect blend of high efficiency and environmental sustainability. In terms of design, the vessel innovatively incorporates dolphin and lotus shapes along with elements of Macao culture. The streamlined hull not only highlights modern aesthetics but also symbolizes the deep connection between Zhuhai and Macao. Notably, during nighttime navigation, the ship’s lighting system creates a dazzling visual 'moving landscape,' adding a unique charm that combines technology and art to the Zhuhai-Macao circular island route. Once officially put into operation, it will serve as a scenic 'waterway line' connecting the landscapes of Zhuhai and Macao.  

    Throughout the project, the Zhuhai branch of CCS provided full technical support and inspection services. During the onshore joint commissioning phase, it proactively coordinated with the shipyard, design units, and power system integrators to identify and address key and challenging aspects of the trials in advance, ensuring the accuracy of testing content and laying a solid foundation for subsequent work. This enabled the ship to be delivered just over a month after being launched. Facing tight schedules, short commissioning periods, and heavy workloads, the Zhuhai branch worked closely with the Guangzhou plan review center and expedited the inspection reporting process even through overnight efforts. On-site surveyors remained at the shipyard for over a month to ensure the vessel was ready for operation before the Spring Festival.  

    It is reported that once 'Romantic Zhuhai' is put into service, it will strongly promote the upgrading of 'green transportation + tourism' in the Zhuhai-Macao region.
